AS I AM NOW CO-HOSTING EXPLORING MY BOOKS WITH ADDLEPATES AND BOOK NERDS, OUR TOPIC THIS WEEK IS

books I should get rid of

This was a bit of a difficult topic for me because I am a book hoarder. I did find a few books that I could do without and those are three of the books from the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. I started this series because the TV show True Blood was based off it. Sadly, it was loosely based off it. I had already seen a couple seasons of the show before I tried the first book, and I hated it. It didn’t supplement the TV show in any way because there were too many discrepancies between the two. Unfortunately, I had already bought a few of the books when Borders was going out of business, so I already have books 1, 2, and 4 before realizing I didn’t like the books.

Dead until dark BY Charlaine Harris

From Goodreads

Sookie Stackhouse is a small-time cocktail waitress in small-town Louisiana. She’s quiet, keeps to herself, and doesn’t get out much. Not because she’s not pretty. She is. It’s just that, well, Sookie has this sort of “disability.” She can read minds. And that doesn’t make her too dateable. And then along comes Bill. He’s tall, dark, handsome–and Sookie can’t hear a word he’s thinking. He’s exactly the type of guy she’s been waiting for all her life….

But Bill has a disability of his own: He’s a vampire with a bad reputation. He hangs with a seriously creepy crowd, all suspected of–big surprise–murder. And when one of Sookie’s coworkers is killed, she fears she’s next…. “
