AS I AM NOW CO-HOSTING EXPLORING MY BOOKS WITH ADDLEPATES AND BOOK NERDS, OUR TOPIC THIS WEEK IS
MY Comfort book
I completely forgot to take pictures of the books for this post before I left for work this morning So, you will just have to take my word on my owning them. When I need a good book that I know won’t disappoint I have a few books I turn to. The most important of these books is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling. This series has a way of transporting me away from my troubles and into a magical world. When I don’t have the time to digest HP, then I turn to the manga Fruits Basket by Natsuki Takaya. This is a beautifully drawn series that has unique characters and makes me think of times when things weren’t so crazy. These are a couple of my comfort books. What do you go to when you need a break from the world?
Fruits Basket Vol. 1 BY Natsuki Takaya
“A family with an ancient curse…
And the girl who will change their lives forever…
Tohru Honda was an orphan with no place to go until the mysterious Sohma family offered her a place to call home. Now her ordinary high school life is turned upside down as she’s introduced to the Sohma’s world of magical curses and family secrets.“
WHICH OF YOUR BOOKS is your comfort book?
