This past week was filled with family outings to celebrate Independence Day, like 61% of Americans I went to a BBQ on the 4th, and saw a concert and overcast fireworks on the 3rd.  I did have a lot of time to read on Saturday! I finished a romance novel, a how-to-draw book, and a YA book this past weekend. Here’s how my reading is faring.

Brown, Pierce; Red RisingLevithan, David; You Know Me WellDrake, Olivia; Bella and the Beast

Red Rising by Pierce Brown
You Know Me Well by Nina LaCour & David Levithan
Bella and the Beast by Olivia Drake

I’ve made quite a bit of progress in the audiobook of Red Rising this past week, it is definitely getting good. I’ve barely begun You Know Me Well, which is a bad thing, and Bella and the Beast is great so far!

Meyer, Marissa; Stars AboveHart, Christopher; Doodletopia MangaJames, Eloisa; A Gentleman Never Tells

Stars Above by Marissa Meyer
Doodletopia: Manga by Christopher Hart
A Gentleman Never Tells by Eloisa James

I finally got around to reading Stars Above and it was such a quick read! Doodletopia: Manga is one I got through Blogging for Books and it was pretty good as well. The romance novel was meh… not too great, not too bad. Reviews for all of these are scheduled for the end of July-beginning of August.

Riverkeep by Martin Stewart

I’ll get to this soon!! I hope!

Maas, Sarah J.; Queen of Shadows

Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas

Ideally, I’ll get back into this series soon!

W…W…W…Wednesday is a meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words where you answer three questions: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next?
