This past weekend was absolutely beautiful here in the midwest! I actually ended up quite sun-burnt on Saturday and then even more so on Sunday. I think my watch and cami tanlines will agree, it was worth it. My super exciting news, that I had been holding off exclaiming about is that I am going to BookCon this year!! I am so excited! As it is in Chicago, and my best friend lives in Chicago, it was destined to happen! Here’s how I’m faring in the literary world:

Aveyard, Victoria; Glass SwordMaas, Sarah J.; Queen of ShadowsMoore, Leah; Complete Alice in WonderlandColbert, Stephen; I Am AmericaBrosh, Allie; Hyperbole and a Hald

Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard
Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
The Complete Alice in Wonderland by Leah Moore
I Am America (And So Can You!) by Stephen Colbert
Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh

I made the bad decision of going to the library, requesting ARCs, and starting massive books all at the same time. I am making little progress in Glass Sword and Queen of Shadows, but I hope to rectify this over the coming week. I’m feeling pretty Meh about the Alice in Wonderland graphic novel as of right now. Lastly, Stephen Colbert and Allie Brosh are hilarious.

Bowman, Valerie; The Irresistible RogueBowman, Valerie; The Unforgettable HeroOzenam, Antoine; KlawKent, Lavinia; Sarah's SurrenderBowman, Valerie; The Untamed Earl

The Irresistible Rogue by Valerie Bowman
The Unforgettable Hero by Valerie Bowman
Klaw:The First Cycle by Antoine Ozenam
Sarah’s Surrender by Lavinia Kent
The Untamed Earl by Valerie Bowman

I have been on a major historical romance binge lately, and hopefully I can get out of this funk and read a lot more YA in the next month. All reviews are scheduled for May. (On the plus side, I finally got around to reading some ARCs.)

The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead
Soundless by Richelle Mead
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Red Rising by Pierce Brown
Stars Above by Marissa Meyer
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

It is unusual for me to have a lot in this “reading next” portion of my WWWW, but as in less than a month I am going to BookCon, I am striving to read as many of the books I own, yet have not read yet, by the authors I am looking forward to seeing at the event.

W…W…W…Wednesday is a meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words where you answer three questions: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next?

  1. I finished the Alice in Wonderland graphic novel recently and I was so disappointed by the art.

Sooo many of these books are on my TBR! I really need to read them. BookCon sounds like it’d be so much fun! I hope you have a great time 🙂
