AS I AM NOW CO-HOSTING EXPLORING MY BOOKS WITH ADDLEPATES AND BOOK NERDS, OUR TOPIC THIS WEEK IS

A Book Set In Spring

Mead, Richelle; Shadow KissWhen I was deciding topics for the month of April, I did not think this topic would be so difficult. It turns out that most of my books are not seasonal. I feel that most of my favorites take place over several months, crossing seasons. Finally, it dawned on me that Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead most likely took place in the spring. (As I can’t exactly recall when it took place, I think it is about time for another reread!) As this was when she was training for the guardian exam and such it makes sense that it would be in the later part of the school year, thus fulfilling my topic. Now I don’t believe the usual activities that take place in spring happened in this book, but Rose’s badassness over-rules everything.

(In the picture of the book stacks with my TV on top sits my collection of Vampire Academy novels, as well as the Bloodlines spin-off series right next to it.)

WHICH OF YOUR BOOKS take place in Spring?

To participate in the Exploring Your Bookshelf meme hosted by Addlepates and Bookworms and myself, here’s what you do:

  1. Post a picture of your bookshelf (preferably literal, but e-shelves work too).
  2. We’ll give you something about your shelf to write about. It might be your favourite cover, your favourite author, your book you most recently bought etc.
  3. Then give us the blurb and the cover of the book (and what you thought of it if you’ve read it)
  4. And finally, come back to one of our posts and send us a link! We promise to check out all of your posts!
