I DID IT!! I FINALLY FINISHED HEIR OF FIRE! WOOT!
I knew starting this book that it was going to be a slow one based on reviews I’d read. Despite the excruciatingly slow beginning, I ended up loving the rest of the novel. Particularly the wonderful friendship/bond that developed between Celeana and Rowan. Rowan is probably my favorite male character now. He is just so bad-ass and strong and wise, while also having a vulnerability to him.
My least favorite aspect of the book was the witches. I’m just not really a fan of them, but at the end of the novel I could see why we were exposed to their narrative.
One I passed the hurtle of the first 200 pages, the rest of the story flowed well. It was interesting seeing the story from so many different perspectives.
