“He is a Legend.
She is a Prodigy.
Who will be Champion?
June and Day have sacrificed so much for the people of the Republic—and each other—and now their country is on the brink of a new existence. June is back in the good graces of the Republic, working within the government’s elite circles as Princeps-Elect, while Day has been assigned a high-level military position.
But neither could have predicted the circumstances that will reunite them: just when a peace treaty is imminent, a plague outbreak causes panic in the Colonies, and war threatens the Republic’s border cities. This new strain of plague is deadlier than ever, and June is the only one who knows the key to her country’s defense. But saving the lives of thousands will mean asking the one she loves to give up everything.
With heart-pounding action and suspense, Marie Lu’s bestselling trilogy draws to a stunning conclusion.” -Goodreads

REVIEW

To start I’m going to come out and say that I was not overly impressed with this trilogy. There are many places that could have used a lot of development, and a lot of different paths that could have been explored.

What I did like was the relationship between June and Day, however fraught with tragedy it was. I also appreciated Anden greatly. These characters were interesting, but could have been explored more.

Marie Lu did create an interesting world. I wish we could have been exposed to more of it though.  It makes me extremely sad that Korea was flooded, I guess in Lu’s world there will be no more K dramas.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF the Legend trilogy?

  1. I elect to disagree with everything you said in your review. I enjoyed everything about the Legend trilogy and it is my guilty pleasure! Unfortunate to see you didn’t enjoy it as much. 😦

    Love and books,
