my books

THIS WEEK’S TOPIC FROM ADDLEPATES AND BOOKWORMS IS

your least borrowed book (or one you COULDN’T bear to trust others with)

If someone wanted to borrow one of my books I typically don’t mind because I love sharing knowledge and new worlds with others, but I do have a few books that I will never lend out because of their personal connection to me. The book below on the left is a polish prayer-book published in 1912 that belonged to my maternal grandma’s grandma, and the book on the right is my maternal grandma’s high school chemistry book. Because they were passed down to me from my grandma I could not bear to let others borrow them for fear they would get damaged.

To participate in the Exploring Your Bookshelf meme hosted by Addlepates and Bookworms, here’s what you do:

  1. Post a picture of your bookshelf (preferably literal, but e-shelves work too).
  2. I’ll give you something about your shelf to write about. It might be your favourite cover, your favourite author, your book you most recently bought etc.
  3. Then give us the blurb and the cover of the book (and what you thought of it if you’ve read it)
  4. And finally, come back to my post and send us a link! I promise to check out all of your posts!
